Feeding is one of the biggest parts of early parenthood, and almost no one prepares you for it. This is where that changes, before your baby even arrives.
A private, in-home prenatal class built around the two things that matter most in those first weeks: feeding your baby, and caring for your newborn with confidence. I come to you, in a warm and unhurried setting, so you can walk into parenthood feeling ready instead of overwhelmed.
Feeding care
The heart of the class, and arguably the most important part of welcoming your baby. We go deep on how feeding actually works, so you are not figuring it out at 3 a.m. with a screaming newborn.
Baby basics
An experienced RN joins to cover the newborn-care essentials, diapering, bathing, soothing, safe sleep, and what is normal, so both sides of those early days are covered.
What we cover, together
- Setting up your pump, and getting the right flange size
- How to hand express and collect colostrum
- How milk supply is built, and how to protect it
- Breastfeeding expectations: what is normal and what to watch for
- Bottle feeding and combo feeding, done well from the start
- Feeding schedules, and why watching your baby beats watching the clock
- Understanding your baby's cues, and how they shape every feed
- Diapering, bathing, and soothing
- Safe sleep and daily newborn care
- What is normal, and when to call
Two ways to join
